Artists are invited to participate in 'Just a Square', a curated group exhibition at Darling Mills Studio ~ Gallery, located within the 'Just a Smidge' store in the heart of Mittagong.
The exhibition will run for 4 weeks from Saturday the 18th of August 2018 to Tuesday the 18th September 2018.
Artists are invited to submit up to 3 square works each up to a finished size of 12” x 12” / 30.5cm x 30.5cm in size. Any square size under 12"x12" will be accepted. Works do not have to be framed but should be wall mountable ie mounted on board or a work on canvas. If they are framed, the size restriction of 12"x12" should INCLUDE framing.
Artists entering the curated group exhibition should be over 16 years of age.
To apply pay the entry fee for the number of submissions below and email high resolution images to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 5th 2018. There will be a selection process and not all works may be exhibited.
Entry fees are $20 for 1 work and $10 per subsequent work with a maximum of 3 works. These fees are not refundable.
Entry fees contribute to opening night catering, PR, invitations and the running of the exhibition.
Accepted works must be delivered on or before Wednesday the 15th of August to Just a Smidge 16A Bowral Rd, Mittagong, 2575. There is also the possibility of delivering to a Sydney address for free transport down to Mittagong. Please contact Rachel for more details.
Artwork can be framed or unframed stretched canvas, photography, giclee prints, collage, mixed media, textile, metal, wood or ceramic but MUST BUT MUST BE WALL MOUNTABLE. D rings with a wire / string or 3m velcro sticky tabs must be used.
Works must be the original work of the artist and must be dry and exhibition ready. Darling Mills Studio and Just a Smidge reserve the right to withhold any work that does not meet the gallery standards.
Unsold work will need to be collected from the gallery on Wednesday the 19th of September and Thursday the 20th of September or postage can be arranged at the expense of the artist. There is also the possibility of collection of unsold work from a Sydney location free of charge.
Please include or add GST to your sale price. This comes off first then we take a 30% commission. eg $1100 RRP for an artwork will be $100 in GST, $300 in commission and $700 to the artist.
Artists are encouraged to submit high resolution images of their work for promotional purposes. (High res is 15cm x 15cm at 300dpi with a file size from 2mb to 5mb)
All artworks displayed must be for sale.
